Betty Sample serves in the role of Vice President of Sales for Principia Hospitality. She is an energetic and aggressive sales professional with proven results for properties of all sizes.

She previously served as Director of Sales for the Omni La Mansion Hotel and Watermark Hotel and Spa in San Antonio, as well as the Emily Morgan Hotel. She also worked as the Regional Director of sales with the Shaner Hotel Group.

Betty’s specialty is numbers: budgets, projections, forecasts, reports and action plans. Her forte is increasing revenue while managing teams and budgets. She has a unique ability to connect with key accounts and develop new business for her clients. Betty is focused and attentive to the details of your business, and she knows how to translate your goals into revenue dollars. She understands the needs of the sales team and provides a challenging environment to boost profits.

Betty has developed and directed sales teams for limited to full service properties throughout the US with large organizations. She has a long history of heading teams for major flags such as Embassy Suites, Radisson, La Quinta Inn and Suites and Marriott Hotels. Betty’s efforts resulted in a Triple AAA Four Diamond Award for an historical, boutique hotel in downtown San Antonio.

She is currently a member of Meeting Professionals International and has been involved with the Texas Society of Association Executives and the Texas Travel Industry Association. She also has connections with the Alamo Area Hospitality Association, the Society of Government Meeting Professionals and the Austin Business Travel Association.
