Jim Nelson

Jim Nelson serves in the role of Development and Acquisitions for Principia Hospitality, identifying new product sites, and working with both owners and lenders to put deals in place.

Nelson’s 23 years of experience in retail, restaurant and finance have been invaluable to Principia in developing new hotels, from site selection and analysis to finance and brand selection.

Nelson attended the University of Maryland, and served as Assistant Administrative Director of Platt College in Tulsa Oklahoma.
He also previously served as the Assistant Director of Communications for Celanese Chemical Company in Dallas, Texas. He owns Momentum Services which specializes in consulting for Retail Convenience Stores throughout the Southwest.

His often assumes the role of a liaison between ownership groups, lenders and franchise officers to ensure the integrity of Brand requirements, and ensure a smooth opening once re-branding projects are complete.

Jim is active in Breast Cancer awareness and works tirelessly to increase awareness for the cause.
